To add a roof to your plan you must purchase Gold (and Gold Plus for complex roofs).
Use the 'roof' tool which is available in the 'Architecture' menu, choose a type of roof and place it on a room with a visible ceiling.
Adjust its dimensions in 2D view and height in 3D view
